Grandmother's house road trip.
Every school break, I always have a road. Its the same route everytime from my house in Bangkok to my grandmother's house in Korat. Same things happen everytime, and it is not a fun or exciting road trip.
We usually leave Bangkok around 8:00 or 9:00am every time we go. But sometimes the trip starts, later because my parents have to do things at the bank and taking care of businesses. With that situation, we leave around 11 or 12am. We start out on a boring road with only paddy fields, factories, storage areas for goods before being put into a market, etc. The road becomes more exciting when we reach the mountainous area, usually in the winter you can see the mist passing by the mountains. The area is not flat. if you look at the side, you will either see a hill, or a land going downhill. Then we continue on another boring road which the land is flat and only paddy fields around us. We don't usually at different places but gas stations to refuel the car and buy stuff to eat which sometimes there is a KFC restaurant there, we usually ordered about like 12 pieces of spicy chicken. It gets really spicy( don't worry I can handle it) but you just can't stop eating it for some reason, yeah I guess its because it is junk food :). Sometimes we stop at roadside restaurant, one of them is a steakhouse, which has such awesome steaks because the recipes were different than ones I ate somewhere else. They cook the meat really nice, it was cooked perfectly, the meat was just juicy and so is the sauce but it takes forever before we can even eat it. Since our car isn't big, it is not a good experience to be stuck in it for 4 hours. But since I'm used to it, I don't mind or think much about it.
Is not a good road trip since it is the road trip to a destination I don't really want to go.But its not that I don't want to see my grandmother, its just because I hardly do anything there even if I have a laptop with me. I wish we had a larger so the ride would be more pleasant but that is not going to happen in a long time. So that is why it is not the best road trip. But what worse is that on such short breaks like October breaks and Spring breaks, we go there for one day and then leave the next day which is really tiring even my parents got tired. I always thought what the point of going for such a short time, its like no difference in staying for a few hours.
